Thanks for everyone’s concerned and sympathetic comments following the accident. Sue is doing really well and has had her bandages removed. Her skin is healing really well but did put me off eating Pama ham for a while. She is still very pink but will not need any skin grafts thanks to the fact that we were able to get her under a tap so quickly. Hopefully any scarring will be minimal. However she is not allowed to expose her burnt areas to the sun for one year!

Okay, firstly I’m going to express what an amazin time I had at both the retreat and then at the festival itself and then I’m going to tell you a rather horrifying story…….don’t skip to horrifying story first.

At last, my final piece made it up here. Thanks to all of those people who helped and for the comments. I feel like I’ve been on a journey and now I’m re-tracing my footsteps on map of where I’ve been. Of course there are parts I listen to and think – what were you thinking that so obviously sounds wrong, but on the whole I’m pleased with the end result and am really looking forward to performing at The Big Chill. More to follow after the performance……….

Arghhh

Myplacers, it’s my day to get my stuff up here, the poem play is complete, it’s recorded on my litle device and I’ve managed to get it onto my laptop. However, I wanted to get some of my images on there to go with it. I wanted to use the images from the stuff that I’ve already posted on here that’s now on youtube / this site, but it’s no longer on my laptop since harddrive was replaced and and like a dumb ass i saved everything but those two files – can i get them back from this site? Also i’ve got some new tiny bits of film i wanted to put in using windows movie maker, the file tells me its AVI and Moviemaker is giving me sound but no image. I’ve resolved this one before but can’t remember how, do i need to change file type, if so, how. The help topics seem to say that AVI is supported. Techie people please help. I can post the recording only but really want to do it as a whole.

arggghhhh

here are some examples of my editing process, i find it easier when i have a piece of paper in my hand rather than edit on screen. I write as though I’m advising myseld and try to become an outsider which of course is difficult. I always thin it would be great to get some kind of temporary memory loss at this point so that you forget it was you that wrote the poem and edited it as a completey fresh piece of work. I’m curious to know if i would like my own work but also think it would be an invaluable process.
