Interesting programme about poetry and places around Britain fronted by Owen Shears. Starts with Wordsworth on Westminster Bridge.

Poetry season coming soon on BBC – watch that space!

Thanks – I just watched it with a friend who’d recorded it….. brilliant and now I just want to go to the bridge and watch the sun come up in the morning. About 10 yrs ago I used to present some overnight talk shows for LBC and would finish at 6am then get given a cab home and it was always really beautiful to drive through soho and then further afield and watch London slowly waking up:) Looks like a good series, and hope he picks some living poets too. I’m trying to write a sonnet, a task set by my mentor Jo Bell, so it’s good to get such a vivid reminder of one of the best as I struggle to box my lines in to the format!
