Where I began and where I ended up…  with this piece… was a ‘mad’ journey…

SO, so, so sorry it has taken me this long to get it up.. I have so much footage 2 edit but so little time.. lol…  Thanks Steph Hernandez for directing… I must add it is a work in progress…. and I am hoping to to ‘develop and build’ on this. Thanks for your time 1gone.

This is the character I have put the least work into, since feedback from my earlier WIP I have spoken to a few young ladies who are involved in these postcode gangs…. or around it.  The challenge for me was being able to convey the voice properly.. and writing from a female perspective full stop……. also making it distinctive enough to stand out from the other two male characters in terms, of vocal style, and the writing… SO since the bits below I have now decided to write all her pieces in ‘Diary form’ which takes me out my comfort zone in terms.. of rhyming etc.. and gives it an interesting ’swing’ … So the bits of writing below will possibly not really be used.. but gives a little indication of her mindset… and characteristics.

Hello it’s been a while….!! The last couple of month has been a very hard and sureal period in my life, I am now getting back focused and ‘catching up’…. I would like to say a BIG THANKYOU to all of my APPLES N SNAKES & MPOY family.

Hello how doing my homies/crew/peoples? been alongtime…… well a few weeks lol….. need to catch up on whats been going on in all the different places… respect to all those that have left comments I will get back to each and everyone… I promise… been on a another residency. This time not Youth orientated.. (felt it was important to gain different perspective) I spent time with a Middle age woman who was born in India and moved to England and discussed her views on home and sense of place.. It was very,  very interesting and alot of what was discussed was ‘parrallel’ and  almost identical to my thoughts on leaving Birmingham and now living in Derby…. I did record it  ( why ask..lol) and will be editing it and putting up nex week.  I have also ‘kinda’ finalised where I am going with my piece….  Postcode Purgatory (working title).
